Portuguese and German film producers gathered in Lisbon to discuss coproduction opportunities
The first portuguese-german film producers meeting happened in Lisbon, between 19 and 21 October 2017, where more than 30 producers presented and discussed co-production opportunities between Portugal and Germany, for their film projects.
On the first day of the meeting, the German producers attended the opening session of Doclisboa festival, with the film RAMIRO, by Manuel Mozos.
On October 20, in Galveias Palace, in Lisbon, the current legal framework for cinematographic co-productions between Portugal and Germany was presented for all attendants, as well as the existing financing sources in the two countries that the filmmakers may use to support the development of their coproduction projects. At this meeting, guest had the opportunity to present their works and projects, fostering possible co-productions.

The meeting, an initiative of the Embassy of Portugal in Germany/Camões in Berlin, was promoted by the Portuguese Film and Audiovisual Institute (ICA) and the Filmförderungsanstalt (FFA)- German counterpart – in collaboration with the Doclisboa (Arche ' section), Portugal tourism, Lisbon Film Commission and the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Lisbon.
